US 7th Circuit Court of Appeals

The Truth is Out There Right Here

Excerpt from the transcript of the May 18 2006 testimony of John Nixon. This demonstrates that John Nixon was not disqualified as an expert, but merely offered to the court as a lay witness.

"We are going down a lay witness compared to an expert witness, quite frankly"..............

............."I'll just have him show the photographs"

At the time of the Jeter trial Nixon had been working and testifying as a firearms expert for approximately ten years, and has since given sworn expert testimony approximately fifty times.
